The Problem

Africa's Energy Crisis
Is a Solvable Problem

Nigeria is Africa's largest economy and most populous nation — yet it delivers fewer than 4,000 MW of electricity to over 220 million people. This is not a technical failure. It is a structural and financial one.

220M+
Nigerians underserved by the national grid
<40%
Grid uptime — under 12hrs/day in most states
$14B+
Spent annually on diesel generators
35–40%
Of production costs for Nigerian manufacturers from energy alone
💰
Capital Access Gap
Projects of $200K–$2M fall between institutional minimums and local capacity — leaving communities permanently unserved.
📊
Revenue Invisibility
No transparent revenue reporting makes risk pricing impossible and keeps the cost of capital artificially high.
🔒
Capital Lock-In
Investors have no exit pathway for 5–10 years, deterring return-driven capital from entering the sector.
🤝
Community Trust Deficit
Without transparent governance and fair revenue sharing, payment compliance suffers — making projects unbankable.
⚙️
Replication Cost
Each new project requires bespoke legal and operational structuring — preventing scale deployment.
The KushGrid Solution

Three Integrated Components.
One Unified Platform.

KushGrid is not a solar panel seller. We are a fully managed clean energy service — built on blockchain infrastructure that makes every naira collected, distributed, and reported publicly visible.

Component 01
Community Generation Cooperatives

Each micro-grid is anchored by a formally registered cooperative under Nigerian law. Landowners, community leaders, and energy consumers co-own and co-govern the energy assets. Community ownership drives payment compliance — the critical differentiator for project bankability.

Component 02
Energy Assets Trust (SPV)

A bankruptcy-remote Special Purpose Vehicle holds all physical energy infrastructure. Each project is ring-fenced — the default of one micro-grid cannot affect any other. Investors hold a first charge over all physical assets.

Component 03
TRIBE Platform

KushGrid's proprietary blockchain platform on Polygon handles real-time energy metering, automated revenue distribution, investor portfolio management, and community governance — every transaction permanently recorded on-chain.

☀️
Solar + Storage
$0.08–$0.14/kWh vs. $0.35–$0.55 diesel
📡
Smart Metering
15-min IoT readings. Tamper detection. Zero error.
Blockchain Layer
Polygon PoS. Sub-cent gas. Immutable audit trail.
🤖
Auto Distribution
Revenue waterfall by smart contract every month.
How It Works

From Sunlight to
Investor Returns

1
Community Forms a Cooperative
Landowners and residents register a legal cooperative, establishing shared ownership of the energy assets.
2
KushGrid Deploys the Micro-Grid
Solar panels, battery storage, smart meters, and IoT gateways installed and connected to the TRIBE platform.
3
Energy Generated & Consumed
Community members pay a NERC-aligned tariff of ₦50–₦80/kWh — a fraction of the diesel cost they currently pay.
4
Smart Contract Distributes Revenue
Every naira collected is automatically split: 35% to bond investors, 25% lenders, 10% community, 10% DisCo, 20% KushGrid.
For Investors

Real Infrastructure.
Real Returns. Automated.

KGA-B Green Bonds offer qualified investors exposure to Africa's fastest-growing infrastructure asset class — with transparent on-chain reporting, secondary market liquidity, and asset-backed security.

For Communities

Power That Belongs
to Your Community

KushGrid is not a top-down energy provider. We form cooperatives with communities — meaning the people who use the power also own a share of the infrastructure generating it.

Solar energy from KushGrid costs ₦50–₦80/kWh. Diesel costs Nigerian households ₦350–₦550/kWh. The difference is transformational.

🏠
Community Co-Ownership
Registered cooperative under Nigerian law. 10% of all revenue returns to your community automatically.
Reliable 24/7 Power
Target uptime of 97%+ versus the national grid average of less than 40%.
📱
Simple Mobile Payments
Pay via NGN bank transfer, USSD, or card. No crypto knowledge required. Blockchain is invisible to users.

Climate Impact

Clean Energy Is
Climate Action

Africa contributes less than 4% of global GHG emissions yet bears disproportionate climate consequences. Every KushGrid micro-grid deployed displaces diesel generators — the dirtiest, most expensive power available to Nigerian communities.
